Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Weather mobile application ("Weather", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the app. By downloading, installing, or using Weather you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy and consent to the practices described below, including the display of advertisements and the collection of data necessary to deliver and optimize those advertisements.

We collect information in several ways to operate the app, provide forecasts, run the battery scan and optimization features, and deliver advertising. Categories of information we may collect include:

• Device information: device model, manufacturer, operating system version, language, country, screen resolution, time zone, battery state, available memory, installed system features, advertising identifier (such as the Google Advertising ID), and other diagnostic identifiers.
• Location information: approximate and/or precise location, when permitted, to deliver localized weather forecasts, severe-weather alerts, and location-relevant advertising.
• Usage data: screens viewed, features used, taps and interactions, frequency and duration of use, scan results, optimization actions, crash logs, and performance metrics.
• Network information: IP address, mobile network operator, connection type (Wi-Fi/cellular), and similar technical signals.
• Advertising data: ads shown, ad impressions, clicks, conversions, ad placements, and other data necessary to serve, measure, and improve advertisements.

To provide the full range of functionality, Weather may request a broad set of permissions on your device. You can grant, deny, or revoke any permission at any time in your device settings. Permissions we may request include, but are not limited to:

• Location (approximate & precise): to provide local forecasts, weather alerts, and regional ad content.
• Network & Wi-Fi state: to fetch forecast data, deliver ads, and report diagnostics.
• Battery & power statistics: to scan battery health, identify drain, and optimize device performance.
• Storage / Photos & media: to cache weather data, ad assets, and crash diagnostics.
• Foreground service & wake lock: to keep widgets, notifications, and ongoing weather updates running.
• Notifications: to send severe-weather alerts, daily forecasts, and product updates.
• Advertising ID: to deliver personalized advertising and measure ad performance.
• Boot completed / receive notifications: to resume background updates after device restart.

Granting these permissions is necessary for the related feature to function. Denying a permission will disable the feature that depends on it but will not prevent you from using other parts of the app.

Weather is an ad-supported application. By installing and using Weather, you acknowledge and agree that advertisements will be displayed inside the app and, where permitted, through system-level placements such as banner, interstitial, native, rewarded, and full-screen ads. Ads may appear during normal use of the app, after specific actions (for example after a scan or optimization), on app launch, on app resume, between screens, and in other contexts deemed appropriate to support the free service.

We use third-party advertising partners — including but not limited to Google AdMob, Google Ad Manager, and other compliant advertising networks — to serve advertisements. These partners may collect or receive information about your device, advertising identifier, location, IP address, and interactions with ads in order to provide measurement services and serve personalized ads. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.

You agree that the volume, type, and frequency of advertisements may change over time at our sole discretion. You also acknowledge that disabling personalized ads (through your device settings) will not remove ads but may make them less relevant.

• Provide, maintain, and improve weather forecasts, alerts, and the battery scan/optimization features.
• Personalize content, recommendations, and advertising.
• Measure performance, diagnose crashes, and develop new features.
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security issues.
• Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests.

We may share information with: (a) advertising and analytics partners as described above; (b) service providers who operate infrastructure, analytics, crash reporting, and cloud services on our behalf; (c) authorities or other parties when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property; and (d) successors in interest in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Aggregated or de-identified data may be retained indefinitely.

Weather is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

• Permissions: manage or revoke permissions in your device settings at any time.
• Advertising ID: reset or limit ad tracking through your device's privacy settings.
• Notifications: turn alerts on or off in the app or in system settings.
• Uninstall: you may uninstall the app at any time using our Uninstall Guide.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ. By using Weather you consent to such transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated within the app or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
